This class will be held once a week on Sundays from 5:30-7:30 pm. Purchasing this class gives you access to 6 consecutive classes from January 16th - February 20th. This course focuses on the fundamentals of wheel throwing for both beginners and experienced potters. Students will develop skills in centering, throwing, trimming, decorating and glazing. We will begin by making cups and bowls and will progress into more complex forms like bottles and jars. Students will also explore how to use underglaze and transfer paper to decorate their work. A large component of this course will be discussing the importance of proportion, repetition, line, and positive/negative space. This class will be a safe space where everyone can explore their creativity with no judgment. Students of all skill levels are welcomed, and we will tailor the class to your specific goals. Basic tools and clay are included. Glaze is also included but limited.
Please bring a towel and wear non slip shoes. Closed toed shoes are not required but highly encouraged. An apron also isn’t required but suggested.
