Class Description

This class is held once a week. Purchasing this class gives you access to 5 consecutive classes. The 6th class for glazing is held on either Monday 6-8, Thursday 6-8 or any time on Sunday between 12-7:30, whichever time works best for the student. This course focuses on the fundamentals of wheel throwing for both beginners and experienced potters. Students will develop skills in centering, throwing, trimming, decorating and glazing.  We will begin by making cups and bowls and will progress into more complex forms like bottles and jars. A large component of this course will be discussing the importance of proportion, repetition, line, and positive/negative space. This class will be a safe space where everyone can explore their creativity with no judgment. Students of all skill levels are welcomed, and we will tailor the class to your specific goals. Basic tools and clay are included. Glaze is also included but limited. Class is for ages 18 +.

Please bring a towel and wear non slip shoes. Closed toed shoes are not required but highly encouraged. An apron also isn’t required but suggested.
